Last Friday it was really hot, so we decided to break from our normal tasting and make some iced coffee.
My pick was Bourbon Pecan. It's very easy to make, take a glass and fill it up with ice. Then add milk up to the halfway mark. Finally fill the rest up with the freshly brewed coffee. You can optionally add sugar.
The first thing we thought of was a butter-pecan sunday, but then the bourbon notes started coming through. It's a really delicious treat for those hot summer days.
Some people like to double the strength of the coffee when they make it iced. At regular strength the Bourbon Pecan flavor comes through, you don't get as much of the coffee flavor. Brewing it at double strength makes the flavoring stronger, and brings out the actual flavor of coffee.
